Six phases from consultation to completion
Each phase is documented, communicated, and managed by our team — so you're always informed and never left wondering.
Private In-Home Consultation
Every project begins with a private consultation in your home — not a showroom, not a sales office. We visit your space, take preliminary measurements, and listen carefully to your vision, priorities, and budget.
- We assess your kitchen or bathroom in context — how you use it, what bothers you, and what you dream it could become
- We share examples from comparable projects in Scarsdale, Greenwich, Chappaqua, Westport, and beyond
- We discuss realistic cost ranges based on your specific scope — before any design work begins
- You receive an honest assessment of what is possible within your budget and timeline
Design & Material Selection
Once you decide to move forward, our design process begins. We develop a complete design plan — cabinet layouts, countertop materials, tile selections, fixture choices, lighting design — and present it with 3D renderings.
- Detailed floor plan and elevation drawings of your new kitchen or bathroom
- 3D renderings to accurately preview your finished space
- Cabinet specification with door style, finish, interior features, and hardware
- Countertop material selection — quartz, quartzite, marble, granite, or porcelain slab
- Tile, backsplash, and flooring selections coordinated for a cohesive design
- Fixture and fitting selections — faucets, sinks, shower hardware, lighting
Permits & Material Ordering
We handle every aspect of the permitting process with your local building department — whether in Westchester County, NY or Fairfield County, CT. While permits are processed, your materials are ordered and quality-verified.
- We prepare and submit all permit applications to the relevant municipality
- We coordinate with your local building department on all inspections
- Cabinetry is ordered directly from the manufacturer once your design is approved
- All materials are inspected upon delivery before your project begins
- You will receive a precise construction start date and project schedule
Construction & Installation
Our in-house crew — not subcontractors — performs the renovation. The same team that designed your project installs it. Every trade is coordinated under one roof.
- Careful demolition and protection of all surrounding surfaces and furnishings
- Rough plumbing and electrical work by licensed tradespeople
- Cabinet installation by experienced cabinetmakers
- Countertop templating, fabrication, and installation by our stone team
- Precision tile work — waterproofing, setting, grouting, and sealing
- Fixture, appliance, and hardware installation
- Daily cleanup — your home is treated with the same respect as our own
Inspections & Punch List
Before we consider any project complete, we conduct a thorough internal punch list review — identifying and correcting every item that does not meet our exacting standards. All municipal inspections are managed by our team.
- Municipal inspections for all permitted work (plumbing, electrical, structural)
- Internal quality inspection against the original scope of work
- Punch list correction — every detail addressed before final walkthrough
- All surfaces cleaned and prepared for your final walkthrough
Final Walkthrough & Handover
The project is yours. We walk through the finished space together, demonstrate all new features and fixtures, answer every question, and ensure you are completely satisfied. We remain available after handover.
- Room-by-room walkthrough of your completed kitchen or bathroom
- Demonstration of all new fixtures, appliances, cabinetry hardware, and systems
- All warranties transferred and documented for your records
- Final cleanup — your new kitchen or bathroom is left spotless
What makes our process different
Volume contractors cut corners on process to maximize throughput. We do the opposite.
In-house crew, not subcontractors
The tradespeople who install your cabinets, set your tile, and run your plumbing are our employees — not rotating subcontractors.
One point of contact throughout
You work with a single project manager from your first consultation through final walkthrough. No handoffs, no confusion.
Permits included, always
We pull every required permit, manage every inspection, and document everything properly. Unpermitted work causes problems at resale.
Written schedule before we start
You receive a detailed project schedule before construction begins. We don't start work until you understand what happens each week.
Daily cleanup, every day
Our crew cleans the work area at the end of each working day. Your home is not a construction site — it's your home.
Curated client load
We deliberately limit how many projects we build at once. Your project gets the attention it deserves.
Common Questions About Our Renovation Process
How long does a kitchen remodel take from start to finish?
The full timeline — from your initial consultation through final walkthrough — is typically 4–6 months for a luxury kitchen renovation. This includes 4–8 weeks for design and material selection, 4–8 weeks for permitting and material ordering, and 6–10 weeks of active construction.
How long does a bathroom remodel take?
A full primary bathroom renovation typically takes 3–5 months from first consultation to completion. Active construction runs 4–8 weeks. Guest bathrooms with narrower scope may be completed in 2–4 months total.
Do I have to live through construction?
Most of our clients remain in their homes during construction. We take extraordinary care to protect your home — covering floors, sealing off the work area, and cleaning at the end of each day.
Do you handle permits, or do I?
We handle all permits. We prepare and submit the applications, coordinate with the local building department for inspections, and manage the entire permitting process on your behalf throughout Westchester County, NY and Fairfield County, CT.
How many projects do you run at once?
We deliberately limit the number of active projects we take on at any given time. This is not a volume operation. It ensures that every project receives the direct attention of our principals.
What happens after my project is complete?
We remain available after every project for any questions or concerns. All warranties from cabinet manufacturers, appliance brands, and our own labor are documented and transferred to you at handover.
