What is the typical timeline for a kitchen remodel?
A kitchen remodel typically takes 6–12 weeks from design approval to completion. Smaller projects may be done in 4 weeks; complex renovations with structural changes can take 14–16 weeks. We provide a written project schedule before work begins.
What does the remodeling process look like at Three Brothers?
Our process has five stages: (1) Showroom visit and initial consultation, (2) In-home measurement and 3D design, (3) Proposal review and approval, (4) Professional installation by our team, and (5) Final walkthrough. We manage everything in-house.
Do I need to move out during a kitchen or bathroom remodel?
For kitchen remodels, most homeowners stay home and use temporary kitchen setups. For bathroom remodels, as long as you have another functional bathroom, staying home is typically fine. We discuss logistics in detail before starting.
Costs & Budgeting
How much does a kitchen remodel cost in Westchester County?
Kitchen remodels in Westchester County range from $45,000 for a mid-range renovation to $150,000+ for a luxury full-scope project with custom cabinetry. We provide itemized, transparent proposals after a complimentary consultation.
How much does a bathroom remodel cost?
Bathroom remodels typically range from $20,000 for a standard update to $60,000–$120,000 for a luxury master suite with custom tile, steam shower, and premium fixtures.
Are there hidden costs I should be aware of?
We provide detailed, itemized proposals so you know exactly what you are paying for. Our contracts include provisions for unforeseen conditions (such as structural issues discovered during demo), but we discuss these in advance and never spring surprises.
Cabinetry & Materials
What cabinet brands do you offer?
We carry KraftMaid, Woodmode, Crystal, Kemper, Showplace, and Cardell — covering stock, semi-custom, and fully custom options. Our showrooms have extensive door samples and finish options to explore.
What countertop materials do you install?
We install quartz (Silestone, Cambria, MSI), granite, marble, quartzite, laminate (Wilsonart), and solid surface (Corian). We can source specialty materials on request.
How long does it take to receive custom cabinetry after ordering?
Cabinet lead times vary by manufacturer: stock cabinets ship in 1–2 weeks, semi-custom in 4–6 weeks, and fully custom in 8–14 weeks. We factor lead times into your project schedule.
Licensing & Insurance
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. Three Brothers Kitchens and Baths holds New York State Home Improvement Contractor license WC-37194-H23 and carries full general liability and workers' compensation insurance. We can provide certificates of insurance on request.
Do you pull permits for remodeling projects?
Yes. We handle all required permits for your project — electrical, plumbing, and structural permits where applicable. Working without permits is a significant liability risk to homeowners, and we never cut this corner.
Showrooms & Consultations
Do I need an appointment to visit your showrooms?
No appointment is necessary at either our Chappaqua (7 Memorial Dr, Mon–Sat 9am–5:30pm) or Congers (437 Rt 9W) showrooms. Walk in anytime during business hours and our designers will be happy to assist you.
Do you offer complimentary consultations?
Yes. Our in-home design consultations are complimentary and come with no obligation. You receive a detailed, itemized proposal to help you make the best decision for your home and budget.
