Countertops
$8,000–$15,000
Book-matched quartz slab, quartzite, or marble. Large island with waterfall edge. A 70 sq ft quartz countertop in Silestone or Cambria runs $8,000–$12,000 installed. Natural stone marble or quartzite adds cost.
Tile & Backsplash
$4,000–$8,000
Full tile backsplash — handmade ceramic, subway in a specialty finish, or large-format slab-look porcelain. Labor is a significant component in Westchester.
Plumbing fixtures
$3,000–$6,000
Kohler, Rohl, or Waterstone fixtures. Farmhouse/apron sink, pot filler if desired, touchless or motion-sensor faucet. These details read as luxury to buyers.
Lighting

Recessed lighting redesign, under-cabinet LED strips, decorative pendants over island, and dimmer controls throughout. Good lighting is one of the highest-ROI investments in a kitchen.
Labor & project management
